About Us

HISTORY

KILROY was organized in 2003 and was chartered into the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, MVPA, in May 2004.  Today (Decemberr 2022) the club's roster reflects 87 active, 2 honorary, 5 junior and 2 international members.

KILROY an acronym meaning "Kentucky Indiana Liberated Relics of Yesteryear" was coined by Charlie Ricketts and the logo was designed by Robert "Bob" Conely.

KILROY hosted two successful MVPA National/International Conventions in 2014 and 2018 both held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY.

KILROY made history at our final event of 2016.  On December 18 we were honored to be on our  military vehicles to be allowed to cross the new Lewis and Clark Bridge for its grand opening to traffic.  The Lewis and Clark Bridge carries Interstate 265 over the Ohio River linking Southern Indiana and Eastern Louisville, Kentucky.

KILROY hosted the 1st ANNUAL KILROY VICTORY MILITARY VEHICLE SHOW & SWAP MEET at the Bullitt County Fairgrounds on October 21-22, 2022 and hopeful that this event will grow and continue on through the future.
